Form Configuration

Before you add contact form to a page or sidebar we recommend to check plugin settings and configure form for your purposes. Plugin setting you can find: “Contact Form” > “Settings“.

WCP Contact Form Settings page contains 5 tabs with various options for configuration.

Form Tab

NB! Please note, that each field has additional options from plugin version 3.0. You can find additional field options by click on the blue button with “gear” icon at the right side of each field.

Form tab allows you to make general configuration of your contact form with following points:

  • customize the set of contact form fields with general options (visibility, required etc.) including various field additional options (display label, field note, default value ect.);
  • change caption and position of the “Submit” button;
  • set custom “Thank You” page or redirect URL;
  • enable/disable HTML5 validation for the form fields;
  • enable/disable enqueue scripts and styles only for the pages with contact form;
  • enable/disable shortcode button in the TinyMCE toolbar.

Style Tab

Style tab allows you to style contact form fields with following options:

  • border: size, style and color or no-border;
  • background color or no-background;
  • text color inside fields;
  • fields labels color;
  • “Submit” button text and background colors;
  • and also fully disable plugin styles.

Messages Tab

Messages tab allows you to set error messages for non-HTML5 validation for following field types:

  • required
  • email
  • Number
  • CAPTCHA

and “success notification” message after the form submission for form without “Thank You” page.

AutoResponder Tab

AutoResponder tab allows you to configure email autoresponder (“no-reply”) notifications about the form submissions for administrator and user with following options:

  • configure Inbox “reply” button with following default values: user name/email field, subject, message;
  • administartor: default email for notifications, subject, message with variables;
  • user: default email field for notifications, subject, message with variables;
  • enable/disable notifications for administrator or users.

In additional, on this tab you are able you are able to change “FROM Email” and “FROM Name”, however these functionality works unstable for different configuration of mail servers, so we highly do not recommend to use this functionality.

reCaptcha Tab

NB! You need to have field with selected “reCAPTCHA” type in the plugin settings (“Contact Form” > “Settings” > “Form” tab > “Fields Settings” section > “CAPTCHA” field type > “reCAPTCHA” subtype. Captcha subtype can be selected via filed advanced options by clicking on the blue button with gear at the right side of the field row).

reCAPTCHA tab allows you to configure reCAPTCHA with following options:

  • API key and secret key;
  • theme, type and size.
